Opening the 2019 Competition season with the ITA Munster Open

IFSC Force came ready for the ITA Munster open, and closed the event with great performances all around.

A well deserved Silver medal for John in IV Black Belt patterns, with a nice performance in both rounds. He went on to win Silver in Black belt -85 sparring!

John won his first fight decisively, scoring a number of headshots. In the final he faced the excellent Greg Sheehan, this was a very exciting fight to watch, with close scores 10 sec to the end. Final score was 2:1 and our congratulations go to Greg, wishing him the best at the Worlds!

Cathy & Shirley got Silver & Bronze in patterns, and exchanged their medals in Red & Black belt Veteran sparring with courageous & clever performances in a tough category.

Last but not least, a fantastic performance by Deirdre at the ITA Munster Open!

It was the first time Deirdre got to spar Black belt opponents and she performed admirably, scoring some very nice headshots and punching combinations.
