A strong showing by IFSC Force at the ITA Leinster Open

On Saturday, our team participated in all three competition categories with great results!

- Patterns:

We had a fantastic performance from Cathy & Shirley, with Cathy earning a Gold medal and Shirley the Silver, after both our competitors each eliminated two opponents from other clubs. In the final it was a draw first, with Cathy clinching the Gold medal in a 3:2 decision after outstanding performances from both our ladies!

John earned a Silver medal in IV Degree patterns! Soukeina also won Bronze in Yellow/ Green patterns.

- Sparring:

Deirdre dominated her sparring category and scored a range of punches & kicks that earned her a well-deserved Gold medal!

Soukeina followed in her footsteps and won Gold, despite being moved to a heavier category and facing a Blue belt in the final. She moved well and scored a number of clean shots to get a unanimous decision!

- Special techniques:

Deirdre brought home Gold in the Leinster Open's special techniques!

Deirdre kept her composure throughout several extra rounds to win first place and keep her unbeaten Special techniques tech record.
